Editorial standards

We want you to be able to trust everything you read on this site. To earn and maintain that trust, we make the following commitments:

Privacy. We will protect the personal information you share with us when you subscribe, and we will never sell that information.

Editorial judgment. Our opinions are our own. We write for readers, not for brands, retailers, platforms, investors, or publicists. We may admire a company, product, designer, or executive, but admiration does not exempt anyone from scrutiny.

Sponsorship. We do not run paid advertisements. We do not accept sponsorship of any kind, whether direct or in-kind, from the companies we cover. If this policy ever changes, we will tell you clearly and will identify any sponsored content where it appears.

Gifts, access, and review products. We do not accept gifts, paid travel, free products, or other benefits from the companies we cover. If we receive a product for review, we will return it afterwards and disclose the arrangement in the relevant article.

Conflicts. We do not directly hold positions in any of the companies we write about. This does not include funds or accounts where we do not control individual holdings. If we become aware of another conflict of interest, we will disclose it to you.

Authorship. We do not use ghostwriters or otherwise have primary content written for us without acknowledging its authorship. We clearly attribute primary content written by guest authors or partners.

Fair use and attribution. We use third-party images, quotations, excerpts, and references only for editorial purposes such as commentary, criticism, analysis, or context. We attribute source material clearly and do not present the work of others as our own.

Living wages. We work with contractors on projects such as visual design and social media. We are committed to paying contractors fairly, with reference to regional living wage standards.

Diversity and inclusion. We cover luxury across cultures, geographies, and communities with curiosity and respect.

Artificial intelligence (AI). We use AI tools to help us discover, research, organize, and outline topics for the newsletter, but we do not use AI tools to write feature-length articles. We use AI tools to support editing, transcription, translation, or summarization, but we remain responsible for the final work. If this policy ever changes, we will tell you clearly.

Accuracy. We are committed to accuracy and to verifying the information we publish. If we make a mistake, we will correct it promptly.
